Ruby is It is the fourth painting of the snake series with an even more intentional approach to painting the scales and texture of the subject. A side quest of this painting was to make pink look badass, and what better way to do it than with a red snake. It is a similar playground as the range of greens in the previous green tree python painting, Embla, only the main colours are red, pink and purple with more accompanying subtle yellow, blue, green and orange accents.

The painting is inspired by a reference photo of a red bush viper, courtesy of Garry Brown from @vibrant_vipers_and_scaleworks1.

**Due to shipping size restrictions the canvas will be removed from the frame and carefully rolled in a protective tube prior to shipment. The collector will be responsible for restretching the canvas on their own frame
