Red Bush Viper ("Ruby") *LIMITED EDITION* (Now offering first 20 of 200)

The fourth of the snake series, "Ruby" is an acrylic painting of a red bush viper on a 48 x 60 inch canvas. Each snake is a progression from the previous, so as the fourth one this one had the highest expectation. After filling the canvas, with scales on the green tree python "Embla", "Ruby" gave the artist a chance to revisit painting scales with a fresh perspective on how to attack them without overthinking it, but still searching out the answer to "is that all you've got?" With a good portion of the background remaining as negative space in this one, it gives the eye a place to rest before diving back in again to explore the wide range of colour and tone present in the scales. The rich brown-green also adds some much-needed depth to allow the complexity of the scales and snake eyes to make more of an impact.

Here are the important details you should know when purchasing. Each print is on 8.5 x 11 inch ultra premium luster photo paper, and is LIMITED EDITION. Only 200 prints. Each one is signed and numbered by the artist and will include a Certificate of Authentication (CoA) with the following details: Title, Artist, Medium, Dimensions, Date, Signature, Edition number (ie: 19 of 20), and a small photo of the art.

Why does this matter? It makes the prints more collectable and likely to increase in value over time, rather than being something that can just be re-printed anytime, by anyone. Only the artist could make a reprint with a valid signature, so the value, scarcity and authenticity of the Limited Edition print is preserved by the integrity of the artist, so that is why I, the artist, place a lot of value on the trust of collectors such as yourself.

The prints have a tiered pricing structure. It is designed to give incentive to collectors to make an early purchase at a better price, and place value on the increasing scarcity of the remaining prints:

First 20 prints: $30 each ** (see below)

21-50: $40 each

51-100: $50 each

101-150: $60 each

151-190: $70 each

Last ten prints! (191-200): $90 each
