Hi, I'm Ben! I paint snakes & draw cats & dogs (and other stuff). I've been making art and social media content since August 2025, but I received a formal education in art 20 years ago. In my beautiful hometown Kelowna, BC Canada (where I currently reside) I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia Okanagan.
I tried a few other things like abstract and landscape before I narrowed my focus to snakes. I wanted to stand out as well as take on a challenge that actually interested me: painting scales! With my background in abstract (and some still life of ropes), snakes became the perfect transition into a recognizable subject while still taking pleasure in exploring colour combos, textures and patterns. I was finally free from the whimsical purgatory of deciding when an abstract painting is finished.
